The last thing Deidre expected when packing up her late estranged father’s belongings was to be swept away in a grand virtual adventure – secretly taking her father’s place within Aegis’s top guild, The Musketeers. But with the Cardinal Governance Corps declaring war against gaming culture and her own real-life responsibilities, will she be able to learn the appeal that gaming had on her father and be able to remind her new guild of their purpose? And will The Musketeers accept her if they knew she was female? Set in a modern video game culture, this genderbent Three Musketeers retelling explores discovery, growth, friendship, community, and acceptance.
