Mapping Minds: Quarantined Students

By:
Jieun Son

Description:
This project is a short video presenting how I would use a particular technology in a composition classroom. This project emphasizes why we teach using technology and how technology helps students in the writing process. My video is about MindMeister, a web-based, cross-platform online mind mapping application that students can use to help capture their ideas, develop them, and share them visually with others. In the video, I explain that students can use this tool for brainstorming, planning projects, taking notes, and collaborating with the group because students need more than lectures on the thesis. My project focuses on mind mapping because it can be a fundamental tool in developing critical thinking, which is students’ awareness of their thinking process (Santiago, 2011).”
