HCS Occupational Therapy Program and Rehabilitation Clinic

The Dr. Pallavi Patel College of Health Care Sciences Occupational Therapy Program and Rehabilitation Clinic has partnered with the NSU University School for 15 years to provide Occupational Therapy Services in a unique delivery model.  Growing from one to four part-time therapists over the years, these expert Occupational Therapists collaborate with parents and teachers to provide treatment that maximizes student’s ability to succeed in and out of the classroom.  In keeping with the College’s mission of providing student learning experiences, Occupational Therapy students experience this model in both observational and clinical internship opportunities.  Our goal is to continue to expand services, diversify delivery methods, increase interprofessional student opportunities, initiate research activities and help smooth the transition from the pre-kindergarten to lower school levels.
