Child Development Programming at NSU

The Abraham S. Fischler College of Education & School of Criminal Justice offers academic programming in Child Development. Admitted students investigate parenting, literacy, and the psychosocial development of children and adolescents. With a degree in child development, many will graduate ready to work directly with children and adolescents in a variety of different fields. From developmental disabilities to child protection, child advocacy to education, there are a variety of career opportunities at their fingertips. Many also choose to continue their education by pursuing graduate studies in their particular area of interest.

Program options include:

Bachelor of Science (BS) in Child Development

The BS in Child Development program emphasizes evidence-based practices to support child health and safety. The goal is to promote positive developmental, educational and psychological outcomes.

Child Development Associate Credential Certificate
