NSU Recognized Nationally for Excellence in Cyber Research
Thanks to the efforts of Nova Southeastern University’s College of Computing and Engineering, NSU has been designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Research (CAE-R) for the approved doctoral programs through academic year 2028.
The program’s criteria validate that NSU will serve the nation well in contributing to the protection of the national information infrastructure and addressing the critical shortage of professionals with cybersecurity skills.

Sponsored by the Florida Department of Education, project HaHa (Hands-on Hardware Security Education) was proposed by six leading universities and colleges in Florida to broaden and diversify hardware security education to meet the increasing cybersecurity needs across the State and the nation. As a key player in the project, NSU, lead by Dr. Wei Li, has utilized the HaHa platform to train over 100 students on a variety of hardware security subjects and will continue to use the platform to educate more students across six future courses offered by the College of Computing and Engineering.
