High-Performance Computing at NSU

Funded by a Cybersecurity infrastructure grant, the Sphyrna Research Cluster is a state-of-the-art High-Performance Computing (HPC) system designed to meet NIST 800-223 standards. Located within the Center of Collaborative Research (CCR) on NSU’s main campus, this advanced HPC cluster will support a wide array of multidisciplinary research across NSU, providing researchers with the computational power and resources needed to drive innovation and discovery.
There are no anticipated costs for simple usage; however, there may be a cost to use non-open-source software and for long-term storage of data.
Key Features:
- A suite of high-end computational nodes equipped with the latest processors and accelerators, tailored for intensive computational tasks.
• Integration with In-Common Federation authentication services, facilitating secure and seamless access to the cluster for researchers collaborating with other institutions.
• Globus transfer services will provide secure data transfer between collaborators and research institutions.
