FIU Reading Explorers

Managed and operated by Florida International University’s Center for Children and Families (CCF) in partnership with Nova Southeastern University, the Reading Explorers Program coaches Youth Development programs funded by The Children’s Trust serving children in grades K-5 in providing foundational reading and reading comprehension skills to their program participants.

Miami-Dade Campaign for Grade Level Reading

Miami-Dade Grade Level Reading (MDGLR) is a coalition of community members comprised of agencies, organizations, providers, institutions and individuals, hosted by The Children’s Trust, that meets regularly with the goal of elevating literacy for all Miami-Dade County’s children. The collaborative meets every other month to leverage resources, expand community partnerships, increase supports for infant through third grade literacy efforts before, during and after school hours.

SkillBuild Powered by Breakthrough Miami

SkillBuild Powered by Breakthrough Miami is a learning community designed for those dedicated to making a difference in the lives of young people. They are committed to developing and offering training and courses for Youth Development providers funded by The Children’s Trust serving youth in grades 6-12 that promote enhanced skills, knowledge, and networks for the greatest impact.

The Advocacy Network on Disabilities

The Advocacy Network on Disabilities provides supports and services to individuals with physical, sensory, social/emotional and other disabilities. The Advocacy Network on Disabilities champions the rights of individuals with intellectual, developmental, and other disabilities by promoting inclusion in programs funded by The Children’s Trust, as well as providing services and advancing systems change.

All families living in Miami-Dade County are welcome to register their kids from birth until 4-and-a-half years of age.
