As an undergraduate, Nuverah Mohsin majored in biomathematics and volunteered at health-care and social service agencies. Working with those in need inspired her goal to attend medical school.Reaching that goal became possible because of the Mary Jane Harlow Scholarship Fund, which is assisting Mohsin as she begins her second year at Dr. Kiran C. For 32 years, the National Save the Sea Turtle Foundation (NSSTF) has worked to protect the marine environment while saving the sea turtles from extinction.Established in 1987, the foundation began when a group of business owners in the Florida Keys noticed degrading changes in the marine environment, including fewer sea turtles.
