Join the Sterling Council 2024 Board of Examiners
Do you want to expand your horizons, prepare yourself to become a Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and improve your network? Then becoming a Sterling Award Examiner may be a right fit for you. The Sterling Council utilizes the Sterling/Baldrige National Criteria for Performance Excellence to assess and/or provide consultation for organizations in the Florida/Georgia region. In the manufacturing industry alone, the work of Sterling and their affiliates has resulted in 2,182 new jobs created, over $21 million in cost savings, and $230 million in new and retained sales within the last four years.
As a Sterling examiner, you will work to assess for-profit, non-profit, and public sectors using the Sterling/Baldrige framework for Performance Excellence.
New examiners will:
1. Understand what it takes to drive systematic approaches to organizational excellence.
2. Experience actual application of “best practices” as you review and see “first hand” examples of how the Criteria applies to an organization.
3. Develop and refine leadership skills and competencies such as critical thinking, systems perspective, analytical skills, and business acumen.
4. Enhance your understanding and application of strategy, customer-focus, measurement sytems, working relationships, and effective and efficient operations.
5. Become part of a performance excellence community of quality professionals: The Board of Sterling Examinrs.
