Fort Lauderdale, FL: ASQ 1510’s Student Branch hosted Kara Brien, Class of 2018 NSU PI alumnus, on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. Her presentation, Lean Healthcare: Helping Healthcare Processes Get Healthy provided an insight onto the world of Lean used in an healthcare setting.
In the presentation, Kara introduced the concept of Lean Healthcare to reduce cost, waiting times, mistakes and more to create a highly efficient and effective healthcare system. Further into the presentation, Kara narrowed in on the unique world of small healthcare providers and what PI means to them (hint: it’s all about eliminating waiting times).
